Conductive nickel-coated graphite powder Conductive nickel-coated graphite powder is made by using a nickel carbonyl decomposition process to completely coat a layer of nickel powder on the surface of graphite powder.

Application: The combination of low-density graphite powder and conductive nickel layer forms a lightweight filler, which is very suitable for conductive gaskets (extrusion molding, mold molding, sheet and field molding) and sealing rings. Other uses include: plasma spraying, friction products and carbon aluminum.

Advantages: There are many varieties of conductive fillers for silicone gaskets, from carbon black, conductive nickel-coated graphite powder, silver-plated materials (AgAl, AgNi, and AgGlass) to pure silver. Compared with other competitive materials, conductive nickel-coated graphite powder has advantages in the following three important aspects:

Shielding effectiveness: The shielding of conductive nickel-coated graphite powder is significantly better than carbon black, slightly inferior to pure silver, but comparable to silver-plated materials. Published data shows that the shielding effectiveness of conductive nickel-coated graphite powder is comparable to silver-plated materials in a wide frequency range.

Electrochemical corrosion: Many enclosures that require conductive gasket protection are aluminum products. Silver and silver-plated fillers can produce electrical coupling and accelerate the corrosion rate of outdoor products. Nickel and aluminum housings are very compatible.

Cpmpetitive Price: The price of conductive nickel-coated graphite powder is only 1/3 to 1/4 of silver-plated materials, which is much cheaper than pure silver.
