Carbon Raiser / Carburizing agent is mostly used in induction furnace, but the specific use is also different according to the process requirements


(1) When using carburizing agent in medium frequency electric furnace smelting, it can be added to the lower part of the electric furnace according to the proportion or carbon demand, and the recovery rate can reach more than 95%


(2) If the carbon content is not enough to adjust the carbon content, clean the slag first, and then add carburizing agent. The carbon is dissolved and absorbed through liquid iron heating, electromagnetic stirring or manual stirring, and the recovery rate can be about 90%. If the low-temperature carburizing process is adopted, that is, only part of the furnace charge is melted, and the molten iron temperature is low, all carburizing agents are added to the molten iron at one time, and the solid furnace charge is used at the same time Press it into molten iron to prevent it from exposing the surface of molten iron. This method can increase the carbon content of molten iron by more than 1.0%.


2: Carburization outside furnace


(1) Spraying graphite powder in package


When graphite powder is selected as carburizing agent, the blowing amount is 40kg / T, which is expected to increase the carbon content of molten iron from 2% to 3%. With the gradual increase of carbon content of molten iron, the carbon utilization rate decreases, and the temperature of molten iron is 1600c. After carburization, the average temperature is 1299c. Graphite powder is used for carburization. Generally, nitrogen is used as the carrier. However, under industrial production conditions, it is more convenient to use compressed air, and the oxygen combustion in the compressed air produces Co. the heat of chemical reaction can compensate for partial cooling, and the reduction atmosphere of CO is conducive to improving the carburization effect.


(2) Use carburizing( Carbon raiser ) agent during tapping


100-300 mesh graphite powder carburizing agent can be put into the package, or washed in with the flow from the rizer D tapping tank. After the liquid iron is discharged, it can be fully stirred to dissolve and absorb the liquid carbon as much as possible, and the carbon recovery rate is about 50%.
